University of Oulu Botanical Garden
The University of Oulu Botanical Garden is one of the northernmost scientific gardens in the world. Open to the public, the plant collection is maintained for teaching, research and conservation of plant species. The garden, which is made up of thousands of different plant species, changes with the seasons, offering visitors new insights and insights into the possibilities of the northern garden each time they visit.
The outdoor garden consists of built scientific compartments, wooded areas and grassland. The 16 hectares of the garden also include ponds, hills, and a network of over 4 km of corridors. The Romeo and Juliet greenhouses, for example, showcase tropical vegetation. In the greenhouses, you can wander freely along the corridors and enjoy the diversity of the plant world.
The outdoor garden is open every day from 8 am to 8 pm, free of charge. Greenhouses normally open Tuesday to Sunday 10 - 16, voluntary entrance fee 5 €.
